Modern-day economic growth depends heavily upon innovations. EOTM instructor Dr. Daniel Barkley with the University of California, San Diego "Academic Connections" students are touring Sapphire Energy in La Jolla, California. Sapphire's "Green Crude Farm" was the world’s first commercial demonstration of algae-to-gasoline. Continental Airlines' 737 and Japan Airline's 747 used Sapphire Energy's refined Green Crude oil for the first flight using algae-derived jet fuel in 2009.

EOTM partnered with the Economics Center at the University of Cincinnati on a pre-college program, "Today Learners, Tomorrow's Leaders" - TL2. TL2 was a 3-week summer course that used tours of supplemented standard Principles of Microeconomics with tours of Greater Cincinnati firms. TL2 students who completed the course earned three transferable college units.

EOTM organized several development projects involving at the Panteka Market is comprised of hundreds of talented artisans, blacksmiths, and metalworkers who recycle Yola’s waste materials into everyday items such as cooking pots and spare automobile parts.
LEARNING BY TOURING
EOTM is an NGO that uses experiential learning to teach economics and carryout research projects. Our field trips to firms and organization provide students with practical application of economics-in-action. Through mentoring and experiential learning, our students gain critical competencies needed to address issues such as – inflation, supply-chain disruption, socioeconomic inequality, climate change. Now — more than ever — the world needs people who understand the economics underlying many our greatest challenges.
Fellowships
EOTM Fellowship provides students with one-on-one scholarly mentoring on publishing academic research papers, conference presentations, and conducting field projects. EOTM Fellows have gained admission to graduate programs at Columbia University, American University, Binghamton University, London School of Economics, Kings College London, University College London, Cornell University, Claremont Graduate School and Ecole Des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (EDHEC) in Nice, France.
